Andrea’s newest body of work takes a look at relationships. Her work examines the relationship between human experience, memory, language, the land, and the impact they have on each other. Her imagery incorporates depictions of animals and is characterized by bright colours and bold lines. She experiments with different types of materials ranging from the raw to the found and the discarded.
Andrea was born in Markham Ontario in 1980. She attended the Ontario College of Art and Design where she majored in Printmaking. She has also studied drawing, painting, wood work, fibre arts, welding and fine jewellery. She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2002 and worked for several years in Toronto with a theater company who worked with teens and adults with special needs. Andrea moved to Whistler, B.C in 2004 and has called the town home ever since.
