Whistler Pride and Ski Festival 2020 Highlights
With humble beginnings as a small gathering of gay ski-enthusiasts in 1992, the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival has evolved into one of the biggest and best gay and lesbian ski weeks in the world. Taking place from January 26-February 2, 2020, the exciting event offers 65 events including daily ski/snowboard guiding, charity ski race, legendary après ski parties, comedy show, game night and mega dance parties. Everyone ages 19+ is welcome.
Be sure to check out some of these Whistler Pride and Ski Festival highlights:
January 29 | Doors 7pm | Show 8pm | Whistler Conference Centre
With the character of Pam Ann – Australian comedian-writer-producer-DJ Caroline Reid has developed a cult-like status and continues to sell out tours globally. Pam’s barbed wit has seen her fly many a risky route and negotiate even the most politically incorrect flight path with her blisteringly funny take on the world of airlines and aircrew.
January 30 | 3:30-4:30pm | Whistler Mountain and Whistler Village
A sight to behold and a signature moment of the Whistler Pride and Ski Festival. Beginning from Mid Station on Whistler Mountain, skiers in colourful and creative outfits hoist aloft the larger-than-life Pride flag while slaloming down the mountain to the VIllage, where anyone is welcome to join in the march through the Village in celebration of diversity and inclusivity. The parade ends at the Whistler Conference Centre with drinks and dancing at the festival’s T-Dance.
January 31 | 4:30-8:30pm | Whistler
February 1 | 5-8pm | Whistler Conference Centre
On Friday and Saturday, after the après, ditch the ski-boots and lace up your dancing shoes. The grand foyer of the Whistler Conference Centre gets turned into giant T-Dances with cocktails, music and dancing. Featuring special guest DJs Carolina Campos on Friday and Karsten Sollors on Saturday!
February 1 | 10pm-4am | Whistler Conference Centre
The Whistler Pride and Ski Festival massive closing party — a spectacular one-of-a-kind experience in the Whistler Conference Centre. Dance until 4am as we bring DJ/producer Tom Stephan to Whistler Pride for the first time with an opening set by rising star Karsten Sollors!
