Audain Art Museum 3-Day Stop Motion Animation Workshop
March 20 | 9:30 am - March 22 | 2:00 pm
$150
Join us this March Break at the Audain Art Museum for a series of hands-on Stop Motion Animation Workshops designed for participants aged 8 and up. Each session explores a different animation technique, allowing participants to experiment with storytelling and bring their ideas to life. Inspired by the incredible artworks displayed at the museum, participants will create their own animation using various methods.
Day 1: Dive into cut-out animation, moving paper characters frame by frame, to craft unique animated scenes. Day 2: Introduction to pixilation and object animation, where participants will animate people and everyday objects in fun and unexpected ways. Day 3: Participants will sculpt and animate clay characters, learning the basics of character movement and expression.
Workshops run from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with a maximum of 12 participants per session. Participants will work in small teams of up to three people and must bring a tablet or smartphone for animation (one per team). No prior experience is needed.
