The Lupine Review: Call for Submissions

Sea to Sky writers, poets and visual artists, get in The Lup!
With a mission to showcase aspiring local talent, The Lupine Review literary magazine invites submissions from writers, poets and artists for its 2024 print edition. This year’s magazine and its contributors will be featured at the Whistler Writers Festival in October 2024, where writers and artists will also have the opportunity to present their work. The Lupine Review, which is a volunteer-nurtured initiative, launched to acclaim in 2023 at the Whistler Writers Festival. That inaugural 28-page colour, glossy edition featured sixteen local writers and artists. The Lupine Review was a Festival sell-out and is now a collector’s item.
For 2024, we’re looking for:
- Creative writing to a maximum of 400 words
- Poetry, three pieces maximum, 400 words in total
- Visual art in any form
Creators must have a connection with the Sea-to-Sky community, from Horseshoe Bay to Mount Currie, and be happy to explain this. Works will be blind-judged and entries are free of charge.
The deadline for submissions is March 31, 2024.
The Lupine Review was founded by author Colleen MacDonald and journalist Abby Deveney and is supported by The Whistler Writers Festival and The Whistler Writing Society.
