INSTRUCTOR: Sue Stearns
Sue Stearns grew up in a musical family with a house full of pianos, drums, trumpets, and guitars. She has been playing the guitar for over 45 years.
In 2003, Sue founded the Chicks with Picks program at the Pemberton Community Centre and has since coached more than 600 students of all ages in the Sea to Sky Corridor. Sue believes that playing the guitar should be fun. Her teaching method is both encouraging and results-oriented and allows students to learn basic and recognizable songs so that they are able to see tangible results in a short amount of time.
These days Sue and her musical partner, Don perform acoustic rock (with a twist) as B.Daddy & the Coconut. Sue and Don have been writing and performing original music for more than 20 years and have a full show of original songs, inspired of course by the incredible beauty of our local surroundings and life’s up and down experiences.
