Whistler Writers Festival Workshop for Young Writers @ Whistler Public LIbrary

October 14 | 2:30-5:30pm | Whistler Public Library, Whistler

Susin Nielsen will talk about how she became a writer, and do a short reading from one of her novels to open up a discussion on character and beginnings. She will then get participants to work in small groups to create their own unique protagonists, and, if there is time, put that protagonist into an original opening chapter.

Free to attend, but participants must be under the age of 19.

Registration is required! Call us at 604-935-8436, email us at youthservices@whistlerlibrary.ca, or drop by the library to claim a spot for your kid!

Presented in partnership with the Whistler Writers Festival.

Susin began her writing career with the Degrassi franchise, writing scripts for TV. Her books include “Word Nerd”, “The Reluctant Journal of Henry K. Larsen”, “We Are All Made of Molecules”, and her newest title, “Optimists Die First”.
