Café Eightyone is a proud member of Arts Whistler’s We Heart Local Art program, which matches local businesses with local artists so that they can showcase their art on the walls of the business. Search our Culture Maps by “Businesses with local art” to see whose art is featured where. See something you like? All the art pieces are for sale. Arts Whistler doesn’t take a commission, we just want to promote local artists and businesses, because, well, that’s our jam.
Café Eightyone
EighytOne is the café that offers more than coffee; a community hub that brings locals and tourists together.
Whether you’ve been here thirty years, ten years, or five months, you probably call yourself a local. It is not necessarily defined by a length of time, but more of a mindset. The idea that you have the insider scoop and know a little bit more about this resort town than the average tourist does. Whistler loves its locals, in theory. But does it really give them a place to be or just an occasional happy hour that the tourists are excluded from? EightyOne is more than just another café on the stroll or hotel breakfast spot. It is a place for locals to be locals. Whether you need to get some work done, catch up with a friend, grab a quick lunch, or find out about community events, we are your community hub.

We Heart Local Art enables businesses to directly connect with a local artist to invite them to display their artwork on their walls. Think of it as an online dating service…but for art!
