AN UPBEAT, INTENSE AND FUNNY ONE-MAN SHOW ABOUT THE MIRACLE OF THE MIND

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, February 20, 2018

WHISTLER, BC – Brain & Other Stories is a hilarious and heartbreaking monologue about consciousness and friendship from award-winning novelist, musician, and former Canadian poetry SLAM champ Brendan McLeod.

Coming to Arts Whistler Live! March 10, Brain maps Brendan’s experiences with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), both as a young man struggling to understand his obsessions and as an adult battling psychosis. It follows a nuanced journey through the nature of thought, and an optimistic exploration of the importance of friendship. This timely and relevant show is an enthralling and hopeful view into the mental health challenges people deal with every day.

Also a talented, engaging musician and poet, Brendan leads Toronto folkie band, The Fugitives. Brendan will perform a set of music, poetry, and stories following Brain.

Before the show explore the latest exhibit, grab a drink in The Gallery, and enjoy the talents of local opening act Emily Molloy. Powerful, truthful, and gritty with combinations of blues, soul, folk, grunge, and country, Emily’s performance is a must see.
