Nina Moore paints at the kitchen table in a cottage in Whistler, paints with her two kids, paints with a drink she is forever accidently dipping her brush into, and eventually paints a little on every item of clothing she owns. She mostly paints with acrylic on canvas, and the paint doesn’t come out…she’s promised herself to start wearing an apron one of these days.
Nina was born in Ottawa, ON, grew up in the UK, studied history and worked in the Tate Modern gallery in London. A self-taught artist, her first gallery painting was sold in Galway, Ireland, where she met her partner. Together, they settled in Whistler, BC. in 2010.
Before painting on canvas, she started an entertainment business, “Paint on People,” a face and body painting company - currently on hold thanks to the pandemic. Nina has worked hard to transfer her skills to painting on canvas. She adores creating paintings that bring joy to her viewers, and you can expect to see many more of her paintings in the future.
