Susan Remnant creates jewelry that is unique and distinctive. Her work is inspired by many things including the natural world, architecture, and history. It is sculptural yet intimate and very wearable. Playful and bold, Susan’s jewelry combines intriguing shapes and forms with ornamented surfaces of enamels, patinas, textures, patterns, and other elements. Susan studied ceramic sculpture and printmaking before she started making jewelry. The three dimensional forms she created from clay and the surfaces that developed through the print making process are evident in her current work. Using traditional metal smithing techniques with an experimental approach to materials and processes she creates one of a kind and limited edition jewelry pieces.
