| Based just down the road from Whistler, in Pemberton BC, TomaToma is no stranger to the stage, having spent time performing in New Zealand and Australia, before moving to BC from France. A singer/guitarist known for his highly original song-writing, featuring humorous lyrical anecdotes and relatable vignettes, and unique but nuanced arrangements incorporating Beatles-esque melodies and soulful hooks reminiscent of Mo-town classics. Inspired by world travel and the natural beauty in which he likes to surround himself, TomaToma has a repertoire that captivates and engages audiences with his story-telling and musical ingenuity. Be it around a campfire or lakeside dock, or a rowdy dancefloor-filled pub or festival event, TomaToma sings Toe tappin’ knee slappin’ tear tuggin’ tunes about the ocean, devotion, love, and the moon.
While still performing solo at a variety of venues in and around the Sea-to-sky, his most recent and notable project is fronting the folk/rock band The Zummers. THE ZUMMERS Weaving musical textures from Jazz, Blues, Soul, and Psychedelic rock, their genre is hard to pin down, appealing to an eclectic and wide-spread mix of music fans , who unanimously agree that the best descriptor for their music is simply; "Groovy".
