The people have chosen! Our special holiday edition of the People’s Film on December 20 will be Home Alone.

“Keep the change, ya filthy animal.”

John Hughes crafts a comedic masterpiece in “Home Alone,” blending hilarity and heart as viewers follow the misadventures of Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who is accidentally left behind when his family goes on vacation for Christmas. The film’s strength lies in its ability to balance hilariously absurd booby traps with a touching exploration of loneliness and the importance of family. Macaulay Culkin hit childhood superstardom with his charismatic portrayal of Kevin which anchors the film, making it a timeless holiday classic that continues to resonate with audiences of all ages.

So grab your favourite ugly Christmas sweater* and warm yourself with one of our holiday (non-alcoholic) drinks as you settle down for a night of festive fun.

*Prizes are up for grabs for the ugliest sweater, so you better start rummaging through your grandma’s closet – but don’t let Kevin catch you!
