Featuring Whistler’s First-Ever Ferris Wheel and Over 350,000 Lights Across the Village
The Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW) is excited to present Whistler Winterlight, a dynamic one-night-only event that will light up Whistler Olympic Plaza. On Friday, November 29, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., the community is invited to experience stunning light installations, breathtaking views from the 60-foot Ferris wheel, and a fresh take on the winter season. This vibrant celebration marks the official start of the winter festivities.
The event will feature Whistler’s first-ever 60-foot Ferris wheel, vibrant illuminated arches, interactive light installations, a live DJ, and engaging activities —all set against the backdrop of Whistler’s sparkling winter lights.
Event Highlights
• Over 350,000 Lights: Whistler Village is transformed with vibrant lights.
• Whistler’s First Ferris Wheel: Enjoy amazing views of Whistler Olympic Plaza and the Village Stroll. o Rides: $5 per person (proceeds benefit local charities).
• Hours: Friday: 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. | Saturday: Noon – 7:00 p.m.
• Restrictions: Minimum height 48 inches, or 42 inches with a guardian.
• Light Installations: Walk through stunning illuminated arches perfect for photos.
• DJ Foxy Moron: Energizing beats to kick off the season.
• Interactive Displays: Decorate a glowing ornament or catch winter-themed films on a pop-up screen.
• LED aerial performers: Aerial performances with a glowing LED setup.
• Outdoor skating: Skate under the stars at the Olympic Plaza rink (admission fees apply, rentals available).
