Meet Some of the Featured Artists:

Susie Cipolla: Susie first broke into the art world at the age of seven, winning a bicycle in a Dairyland colouring contest. After that, art languished on life’s back burner while she finished school and pursued a career in physiotherapy. In 2009, at the urging of a friend, she took a painting workshop with Canadian artist Brian Atyeo. Discovering a new passion in painting was life changing for her.

Over the last eight years Susie has committed herself to improving her skills as a professional artist. She spends her days with her family on their rural property north of Pemberton, B.C. Her art studio sits next to the horse corale and overlooks their ninety year old farmhouse.

Susie’s preferred painting medium is acrylic and her subject matter is varied. She is known for her marine scenes, landscapes and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest Region. She is represented in Canada by Galleries in British Columbia, Alberta and Quebec.

Paul Paquette: Paul Paquette was born in Cornerbrook, Newfoundland in 1962. His family moved to Montreal, Quebec in 1964, Winnipeg, Manitoba in 1970 and finally to Vancouver, British Columbia six years later.

In 1985, Paul was accepted into the commercial art program at Capilano College in North Vancouver. Here, he studied to become a graphic artist – with a heavy personal emphasis on illustration.

After completing college, Paul pursued a career as an illustrator and graphic artist, but only as much as was necessary to support himself while he developed his painting technique.

Paul has been able to combine his painting career with a personal interest in history and travelling, something that is reflected in the many paintings he has done of rustic European locations.
