Flag Stop Theatre and Arts Festival

The 8th annual Flag Stop Theatre and Arts Festival features three days of live original theatre on the floating stage, stand-up and improv comedy, children’s theatre performances, roving musicians, dinner and dancing to live bands in the heritage lodge, and more.

August 9 | 6pm | The Point Artist-Run Centre, Whistler
The festival opens on Friday night with a dance performance choreographed
by Trish Belsham on the floating stage followed by the premiere of a new original play by
Stephen Vogler. Then it’s dinner and dancing to a live band inside the lodge.
DAY TWO – AFTERNOON
August 10 | 2pm | The Point Artist-Run Centre, Whistler
Enjoy an all-ages family play performed by members of Slippery Slope Productions.
Cypress Point Café open for a slice of organic pie and a hot or cold drink.
DAY TWO – EVENING
August 10 | 6pm | The Point Artist-Run Centre, Whistler
The festival continues with stand-up comedy on the floating stage followed by improv
comedy from members of Vancouver TheatreSports League and Get To The Point Improv.
Dinner and dancing inside the lodge to another smoking-hot band.
August 11 | 12-4pm | The Point Artist-Run Centre, Whistler
Relax inside the lodge or by the lake with some Bocce & Brunch, and a cold drink from
the Cypress Point Café. Live music by Aude Ray on the back porch and monologues
performed by the Flag Stop Teen Acting program on the floating stage.
