Melissa is a Whistler-based calligrapher, engraver and watercolour artist who finds inspiration in water, botany, poetry, and human connection.
As owner of Meadow Lane Studio, she works with individuals and businesses to create unique, impactful experiences with artwork customized to their needs. Her work varies from hand-painted house portraits and calligraphy commissions, to glass murals on storefronts, to live on-site personalization for brand events.
Melissa’s lifelong infatuation with penmanship, paired with her eagerness to connect with community led her to also teaching calligraphy workshops. She loves sharing the art of calligraphy with others so they can not only add beauty to their lives, but also experience the therapeutic, meditative benefits of the practise.
