Her move to the Pacific Northwest from the UK opened her eyes to a change in lifestyle, a new environment and newfound inspiration drawn from the impressive physical surroundings and formations. This is the place she made her family home, and it is the main inspiration for her artwork.
During her early years studying Art at Loughborough University, UK, composition was always a keen interest and a strength in her visual communication. Her work is created by designing new layouts in her sketchbook, shifting and placing various layers across a blank canvas and combining them with elements inspired by nature. Building fractal patterns and emotive imagery, merging them with organic shapes and translating them to raw canvas works is part of her creative process. Rebecca wants to create artwork that reflects her passion for all of this and in turn, invoke these same feelings in the viewer.
