The Whistler Writing Society is thrilled to release the lineup of authors and publishers attending this year’s special virtual edition of the Whistler Writers Festival, including headliner Wade Davis and distinguished Canadian and international literary arts talents Emily St. John MandelMarina EndicottDavid BergenWaubgeshig Rice, Caroline Adderson, Dakshana Bascaramurty and Michelle Good. In total, more than 50 authors, publishers and guest presenters are confirmed to attend the action-packed, online literary festival.

To help get you excited about all of the guest authors coming this October, we’ve created an online Reading List & Virtual Bookstore where you can buy or pre-order books in advance of the events to support authors at this time. It’s important to keep audiences safe in 2020, so we’ve transitioned the festival to an entirely digital format from Thursday, October 15 to Sunday, October 18, 2020. So mark your calendars, because tickets go on sale August 31st!

With a focus on intimacy and thoughtful discourse, we’ll have all your event favourites – the Literary Cabaret, Saturday Night Gala and Sunday Brunch – and we’ll be bringing together authors and attendees for real-time conversations, including onscreen Q&A sessions during and after readings, live-streaming masterclass workshops, virtual pitching sessions and other digital opportunities and webinars to exchange ideas.
